Sewing project for the Orphan Grain Train

Sewing

It has been a team effort in working on cutting, folding, sewing and pinning diapers that will be sent to the Orphan Grain Train in April. Pictured are Kellie W., Life Enrichment, CDP and Marcella H. Together the two sewed over 50 diapers one afternoon. The project began in the fall with the local after school church youth group. The group, Circle of Friends, meets monthly at Heritage. When the project is complete, residents and Circle of Friends youth will deliver the diapers to the Orphan Grain Train in Norfolk, NE.

The selected Bible verses for this project were from:

1 Timothy 4:12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

Job 32:7 “Age should speak; advanced years should teach wisdom.”
